Today, I traveled to San Francisco from Baltimore International Airport (BWI). My first flight was to Charlotte (CLT) and then I caught a second flight from Charlotte to San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The day started pretty smoothly with fairly low crowds and no wait at all to get through security at BWI. Things changed though once I boarded my first flight because there was a small maintenance issue and they needed to process the “paperwork”. Waiting for the “paperwork” caused the flight to take off 1 ¼ hours late and I almost missed my connecting flight, I caught it with 5 minutes to spare. Once I landed in San Francisco I caught a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) train to Embarcadero and then a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (MUNI) street car to Fisherman’s Wharf, where I’m staying. One of my favorite things to do when visiting a new city/area is figuring out its public transportation.
